RO system

RO membranes have selective permeability, allowing only solvents (water) to pass through, while solutes (such as salts, metal ions, organic matter, etc.) are retained. When the system is running, a pressure higher than the osmotic pressure is applied to the water inlet side, so that water flows from the high-concentration solution side (water inlet side) through the RO membrane to the low-concentration side (water production side), thereby achieving separation of water and solutes.
