Working principle
Roots blower is a positive displacement blower, which separates the inlet and outlet through the "meshing" of a pair of rotors (there is a gap between the rotors, but they do not touch each other). The rotors are driven by a pair of synchronous gears and move in opposite directions, pushing the inhaled gas from the air inlet to the exhaust port without internal compression. The moment the gas reaches the exhaust port, it is pressurized due to the backflow of high-pressure gas on the exhaust side, thus completing the gas transportation. The two rotors do not touch each other, and the gap between them is tightly controlled to achieve sealing, so the discharged gas is not contaminated by lubricating oil.
Performance characteristics
1、Low price; the simplest rotary machine, easy to control and maintain;
2、Pressure changes with back pressure; small flow rate high speed fan has higher efficiency;
3、 Efficiency is generally lower than multi-stage and single-stage centrifugal fans;
4、 It has the best performance-price ratio when the single machine flow rate is less than 100m³/min;
5、 It occupies a large area when the flow rate is greater than 120m³/min.
