MBBR Media AS-MBBR19 Working principle

 Reactor design:
1,Reactor internal filling medium: MBBR19 is filled with a large amount of plastic bio-carriers (commonly known as fillers), which have a large specific surface area and provide a surface for microorganisms to grow and attach.
2,Filler suspension: Through aeration or mechanical stirring, the filler is kept suspended and flowing in the reactor.
Microbial growth:
1,Biofilm formation: Microorganisms attach to the surface of the filler to form a biofilm. These microorganisms form a stable biofilm on the surface of the filler, which helps to degrade organic matter in wastewater.
1,Coexistence of multiple microorganisms: The biofilm includes a variety of microorganisms such as bacteria, protozoa and fungi, which can synergistically degrade a variety of pollutants in wastewater.
Wastewater treatment process:
1,Aeration: By aerating the reactor, oxygen is provided to support the growth and metabolism of aerobic microorganisms.
2,Organic matter degradation: Organic pollutants in wastewater are degraded through the metabolism of microorganisms and converted into carbon dioxide, water and other harmless substances.
3,Nitrogen and phosphorus removal: In some cases, nitrogen and phosphorus removal can also be achieved in the reactor, through nitrification and denitrification
